The passage goes: “For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”-Matthew 11:30 I’ve been noticing this a lot. Looking around, observing behaviors and realizing that we all have weight on us, pretty much called life. If I could share this verse with those that I feel this for. It really does get light when you give it away, when you pray it off and when you finally get to that point in life when you admit you need a greater help, a higher being. Thank you Jesus.

This passage came to mind earlier today as someone was chatting with me on AIM, letting me know they’ve  been praying for me. It was a pleasant surprise coming from this person. As we continued to chat, I thought of this verse.

I want to be faithful Lord to what you have asked of me. You don’t ask for much but you ask for a willing heart. So if I am not getting my task, I am wondering if my heart is unwilling. That would be horrible, I know how much He loves me, why would this be so hard. It has to come down to pride …or fear.

Lord, I pray that you would keep me looking straight, on this narrow path doing what your will has for me. I know I want to please you and I know you love me more than I love myself or others. Somewhere in this gap I hope you pour out your mercy and grace so that I can understand the full capacity of your request.

Hearing well done, good and faithful servant should be my only goal.
