In the last 15 years, money spent on pets in the U.S. went from $17 billion to $43 billion. Anyone shocked by this?

My request would be to see a graph by market & region.

I would assume it would be a huge percentage in the LA market and the West LA region. I need not say more. Spikes would have started around Paris Hilton & her lame doggy carrier and paralleled spikes with the trend of people going Vegan!
